Vik Muniz Studio Visit
Thursday, January 10, 2013
Vik Muniz offers a rare tour of his studio exclusively for Aperture Patrons.* The tour will be followed by lunch at The General Greene restaurant.
An American artist of Brazilian origin, Muniz is one of the most articulate and innovative photographers of his generation, equally at home creating images of artfully arranged chocolate sauce, spaghetti marinara, or the detritus of hole punchers. In doing so, he has carved out a unique role for himself within contemporary photography: part trickster, part philosopher, he is the creator of always compelling, delightful images.
This event is free for Aperture Patrons with one guest or available for a tax-deductible donation of $250 to Aperture Foundation. Space is extremely limited.
*Aperture Patrons support the Foundation with an annual donation of $1,000 and receive superior benefits and invitations to exclusive events throughout the year.
This event is limited to twenty-five attendees, with a minimum of ten participants. Transportation is not provided.
