What is SNAP!?
The newly launched SNAP! is a membership group for young photography aficionados and collectors aged 21–40. SNAP! welcomes both novice and seasoned photography buffs with an annual calendar of complimentary members-only parties, meet-the-artists events, informal educational offerings, and online activities, all to foster the growth of an exciting, vibrant community of like-minded photo enthusiasts. Proceeds from SNAP! support the Emerging Artists Fund at Aperture Foundation, one of America’s most respected and influential organizations devoted to fine art photography.
March 19, 2010: Come to the SNAP! Out of Winter party and celebrate with Aperture friends and artists. The party features an exclusive limited-edition print by Dan Winters, a live jazz band, a Polaroid photo booth, a spectacular raffle, and more.
April 1, 2010: Meet Sarah Pickering, one of Britain's most promising young photographers, at an intimate salon event at the home of an art collector.
Spring 2010: Engage with our Emerging Artists Program through exclusive events. Look out for details!
Spring 2010: Get a sneak peek at our new limited-edition prints and portfolios before everybody else.
April 15, 2010: Come to the opening of Eirik Johnson: Sawdust Mountain at Aperture's Chelsea gallery. Mix and mingle with the artist and photography aficionados, and experience photography at its best.
