This limited-edition portfolio from Eirik Johnson's monograph Sawdust Mountain(Aperture 2009) is a culmination of four years photographing the Pacific Northwest landscape. In his work, Johnson reveals a landscape imbued with an uncertain future—gone are the days of big trees and profitable timber. The three beautiful limited-edition prints comprising the Sawdust Mountain Portfolio tell a riveting and descriptive story particular to the Pacific Northwest.
Eirik Johnson’s (born in Seattle, 1974) work has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, George Eastman House, and Aperture Gallery. His first book, Borderlands, was awarded the Santa Fe Prize for Photography in 2005.
