This gelatin-silver print is stamped and initialed by Cornell Capa, and is accompanied by a hardcover copy of Robert Capa: Photographs. A master photojournalist and war photographer, Robert Capa made many of the iconic images of the first half of the twentieth century.

Robert Capa (born in Budapest, Hungary, 1913; died in 1954), a cofounder of Magnum Photos with Henri Cartier-Bresson, was a pioneering photographer who joined soldiers in the trenches and documented the battles of the Spanish Civil War, World War II, the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, and the First Indochina War in grim, close-up detail.
