Winter Stories deluxe limited-edition book and print set

In Winter Stories, photographer Paolo Ventura reconstructs the memories of a fictional old circus performer. Unique in style and vision, Ventura captures surreal glimpses of everyday life in this evocative setting. Whimsical, romantic and somewhat noir, Ventura's photographs encourage the viewer to chase a reality that is not entirely of this world. Aperture is pleased to offer Winter Stories in a deluxe limited-edition box set accompanied by the print Last Show. Each book in the set also has a unique tipped-in drawing by the artist.

Paolo Ventura (born in Milan, 1968) studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan in the early 1990s. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at Forma International Center for Photography, Milan; Rencontres de la Photographie, Arles, France; Fotomuseum Den Haag, Netherlands; and Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris. Ventura is represented by Hasted Kraeutler, New York. He lives and works in Italy.
