In the three self-portraits in the Waterline portfolio, Arno Rafael Minkkinen reveals his fascination with the structure and psyche of the human figure amid the forces of nature. Minkkinen has received international acclaim for this unique series of self-portraits, taken over nearly a quarter of a century, in which human forms merge and become indistinguishable from the landscape. In 1994, Waterline was chosen as Book of the Year at the Arles International Photography Festival.
This edition of the Waterline Portfolio is limited to twenty-five numbered copies and five artist's proofs. Each gelatin-silver print is signed and numbered by the photographer. |
