In Memoriam: Cornell Capa, 1918-2008

Cornell Capa, Magnum member and pioneering founder of the International Center of Photography, died May 23, 2008 at the age of 90 at his home in New York City. Read the New York Times article here and see a slideshow of his work here. Cornell, the younger brother of photojournalist Robert Capa, was known as a dedicated humanitarian and photographer.

Aperture Foundation presented Capa with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Photography in 1999.
