For the last decade, Taiwanese-born photographer Jeff Chien-Hsing Liao has created a unique visual census of New York City’s five boroughs, in his composite panoramas which combine hundreds, sometimes thousands, of images taken over the course of a single day in Jeff Chien-Hsing Liao: New York. Join Liao as he sits down with Jody QuonNew York magazine’s photography director, to talk about how he makes his hyper-real cityscapes, the painterly impulses behind them, and his attempts to play with time and push the limits of photography. Book signing to follow.
